The Weight We Carry

For many, Memorial Day is a time for barbecues, family, and an extra day off. But for others—especially veterans and those connected to military service—it’s a time of reflection, memory, and sometimes, quiet pain.

At CrashBell, we often work with clients who carry more than physical tension. Veterans, caregivers, and high-functioning individuals frequently come in with symptoms like back pain, jaw clenching, shallow breathing, or chronic fatigue—and beneath it, there's often something deeper: a body that's been stuck in survival mode for years.

When we talk about “the weight we carry,” we’re not just talking about tight muscles. We’re talking about stories held in the tissues. Years of pushing through. The cost of not feeling safe enough to rest. For some, Memorial Day brings those layers closer to the surface.

Massage therapy offers more than relief—it offers a space where the nervous system can begin to soften. We meet your body where it is. We listen to the tension. And slowly, over time, the body begins to trust that it can let go—even just a little.

So as Memorial Day approaches, we invite you to check in with yourself. If you’re carrying more than you realize—emotionally or physically—you don’t have to hold it all alone. We’re here to support your healing, one session at a time.
